Brett McGonegal
Chief Executive Officer

Brett McGonegal is the CEO of Ideanomics. Most recently, he was a founding member and CEO of Hong Kong investment bank The Reorient Group (376HK), where he developed the Group’s investment banking business. Prior to Reorient, Brett was co-head of equity sales and trading at Cantor Fitzgerald in Hong Kong. In that role, he pioneered execution trading in Hong Kong. He also was responsible for the development of the firm’s corporate finance/investment banking capabilities. Before Hong Kong, he was a Senior Managing Director at Charles Schwab Capital Markets and helped build a large-scale institutional sales and trading platform that was sold to UBS in 2003. Brett is a frequent guest on Bloomberg and CNBC TV.

Alfred Poor
Chief Operating Officer

Alf Poor is the President and Chief Operating Officer at Ideanomics and President of the Connecticut Fintech Village. Former Chief Operating Officer at Global Data Sentinel, a cybersecurity company that specializes in identity management, file access control, protected sharing, reporting and tracking, AI and thread response, and backup and recovery. He is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of Agendize, a company whose integrated suite of apps that help businesses generate higher quality leads, improve business efficiency and customer engagement. Alf is a client-focused and profitability-driven management executive with a track record of success at both rapidly-growing technology companies and large, multi-national, organizations.

Federico Tovar
Chief Financial Officer

Federico Tovar is responsible for Ideanomics's financial strategy, financial management and reporting, compliance, investor relations, public relations, and corporate development. He brings over 20 years of experience to the CFO role in areas such as corporate strategy, financial management, and corporate finance. As an experienced technology, strategy and financial executive, Federico has held roles with The World Bank and leading technology and strategy consulting firms, such as Booz Allen Hamilton. He has been deep experience rapidly scaling technology companies from the innovation stage, to rapid growth, scale, profitability, and exit. He is a seasoned operational and financial executive, and subject matter expert in Cyber, FinTech, Blockchain, AI, and IoT. Federico his BA in Economics from the University of Maryland.

Evan Kalimtgis
Chief Investment Officer

Evan Kalimtgis is the CIO and Head of Product Development at Ideanomics. Most recently, as Managing Director, he was founder of the Strategic Portfolio Group at CIO International at JP Morgan London, which oversaw the build-out of the firm's fixed income investment portfolio to over $400 Billion. Prior to that, he headed International Risk Management at JPM London. Earlier, Evan was CEO of Glencore’s external credit fund, Asteri Capital; headed Proprietary Credit Trading at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson; led Credit Suisse First Boston’s Strategy Research Group in London; and held research roles at Bear Stearns and Salomon Brothers in New York. He has played a pioneering role in the growth of global fixed income markets, co-developing structured fixed income and derivative market products.

Uwe Parpart
Chief Strategy Officer

Uwe Parpart is the Chief Strategist of Ideanomics and the Chairman of Asia Times Holdings, the Hong Kong company, which owns Asia Times, Asia’s largest English language newspaper (ex-India). Prior to that, he was a founding member and Chief Strategist and Head of Research at Hong Kong investment bank The Reorient Group (376HK). He has served as Head of Fixed Income and Currency Research at Cantor Fitzgerald Hong Kong, Senior FX strategist at Bank of America, and adviser to the Mitsubishi Research Institute. He has contributed to numerous magazines and newspapers, was a contributing editor of Forbes magazine and a columnist for Shinchosha Foresight magazine, Tokyo, and is a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg, and NHK TV.

Carla Zhou
Chief Revenue Officer

Carla Qiong Zhou is the Chief Revenue Officer. Ms Zhou has extensive experience in corporate financial management which serving as Assistant to Chairman, Financial Controller, HR Director and Senior Vice president of the Sun Media Investment Group. She has more than 15 years of experience working in a multi-national corporation. Ms. Zhou holds an Executive MBA from Tsinghua University and is a graduate of the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

Kate Lam
Managing Director, Head of Digital Capital Markets

Highly regarded for her senior institutional sales management skills across Asia and US, Ms. Lam brings more than 20 years of financial markets experience in marketing multiple asset classes to Propellr, a fintech platform for multi-asset financing. She successfully obtained the SEC broker dealer license for Propellr Securities and integrated regulatory best practices into the platform. As CEO of the broker dealer, she works closely with with engineers and product managers to design specs for investor vetting, as well as perform due diligences on financing deals. She is also the Head of Institutional Sales and Investor Relations for the company. Prior to Propellr, Lam held senior management positions at Deutsche Bank, Bear Stearns and Standard Chartered Bank with a client base spanning central banks, global and regional banks, asset managers, global insurance companies and hedge funds. Throughout her career in the US and Asia, she ran high performing cross border sales teams within emerging debt capital markets, foreign exchange, and US fixed income products. Her client base spanned the largest and fastest growing Asian markets, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, and South Korea. An avid globetrotter, Ms. Lam bears the unique distinction of having explored every continent. In perhaps her most polarizing travel feat to date, in 2015 she visited both the Arctic Circle and Antarctica.

Drew Colvin
Vice President of Corporate Development

Drew Colvin, is the Vice President of Corporate Development at Ideanomics. Drew is a CFA charterholder and corporate development / M&A executive experienced in executing acquisitions, venture capital investments, and joint ventures to drive strategy and unlock value. End-to-end M&A experience including origination, due diligence, business case development, deal shaping, and post-merger integration with a strong background in corporate finance.

I have over 15 years of business and digital leadership experience; I have expertise in sourcing strategic deal flow, partnerships and distribution. I drive engagement that fuels revenue and global market growth. I have experience in multiple areas of the technology ecosystem including IoT, AR/VR, FinTech, Blockchain, AI and connected cars. Through out my career I worked in various business ecosystems, I have been an investment advisor, an equities and options trader, I have publically listed company’s on US and international exchanges, and I have brought a corundum/sapphire mine to commercial production. All of these have made me a seasoned presenter, a great product ambassador, and a strategic innovator.
